Argyle is usually a fall/winter pattern used on light to heavy sweaters. I myself like them in different colors on my casual/dress socks; and on ties. I don’t know if you do; but I sometimes wonder where a pattern came from; or how it came about. I forgot where I first saw information about the argyle sweater; but whether it was on tv or in a GQ magazine somewhere it got me interested.
So I wikipedia it and got some basic information that many of you may or may not know. The argyle pattern originates from tartan of Clan Campbell, of Argyll in western Scotland. Mostly used for golfing in sweaters and socks. Then luxury brand Pringle of Scottland made it fashionable and are said to be the originators of the argyle sweater.
well that’s just a little boring info on the argyle sweater.
Blog at you later
